Some Things Will Never ChangeA Poem by Parachutes and Sunshine
Someone please explain to me
how one simple feature, one seemingly meaningless feature, could cause such an uproar. However, it's unavoidable. Like a blinking sign on my face, telling everyone to ignore my personality, ignore any good thoughts of me, and only focus on it. It really is a selfish little thing, isn't it? Forcing snap judgements upon me. It seems to me, that it probably shouldn't matter. But why is it that it does? Sometimes I think of it as a weather machine. Because sometimes, it can make it rain harder than any storm I've ever seen. A terrible storm, soaking my face, with salty water, crushing my spirits. I suppose, though, I should fake a smile. Maybe someday it will become true. Because some things will never change.
