Untitled #40

Untitled #40

A Poem by hannahjchin

Shuddering
breathe in.

but it's
hard when you look
at me like that.

Eyes are not meant to be
spikes or barbs,
but deep dark pools.

You try to convince me
it is better than how
I'm saying it was.
But you and I both know
saying it right wont
make it true.

Breathe out.
i descend from my thoughts,
weight down by the guilt
you dress me in.

I stand and walk away.
