A Poem by hannahjchin

Turn back
For the way it felt when
our fingers were tangled
For hours spent sitting together
while you did the taxes and
I, my nails
For our glances when we were
with company, like having our
own secret language
For grocery shopping and cutting
our coupons.
For watching our first pet fish die
For singing out loud,
harmonizing with our smiles.
For fighting over washing the dishes.
Turn back, I'll wash them
if you promise to stay
and dry them.

A nice snapshot of young married life. I really enjoyed this. It's simple, yet, tells so much.
