Days of affinity

A Poem by Elisa Remsen

Musty kisses on a late August evening,

the dust and sweat only enhanced our tan.

Boat excursions on a deep placid lake,

tousled penny blond hair exhibited against a pristine cobalt sky.

Tattered lace dresses adorn slender figures,

and empty bottles of pink tonic lie in a daisy field.

You and I are the best of friends.

Your words were sweet and kind. Create a vision of a paradise where two lucky friends can find calm and peace in each other. Poem is amazing. No wasted words and a wonderful tale you told. A outstanding poem.

This is a beautiful poem. Simple in delivery and style. It portrays a beautiful image of love and tenderness.

Note: exhibited is such a sterile word. Perhaps find a word with more "poetry".

I love the lines:
Tattered lace dresses adorn slender figures,
and empty bottles of pink tonic lie in a daisy field.

nice write.
