Mirror, Mirror

Mirror, Mirror

A Poem by Hannah Elizabeth

is it truly necessary
to be broken down to the mere fragments of what i once loved?
to be torn into pieces i only barely recognize?
to rip away every aspect of life that, at some point in time, i treasured the most?
is it fair for you to make me hate myself and all that i have become and ever was?
is it fair for you to make me wish every night that it would be the last time i ever see the sky?
do you smile as you shatter me into sheers?
i have never loathed someone so passionately as i do
myself.
Mirror, Mirror,
look what You've done.

Reflection of a reflection....do i read that the image you see is not what you are inside but what you see yourself to be now in your mirror...Very deep!
