Here I Am

Here I Am

A Poem by Hannahjoy4life

Here I stand
believing in more than the following
words that may fall out of tongue
a calling sprung
once a child's fearful smile
now a women so desiring,
praying, her heart stirring
Waiting for his hand
To tell her why her heart
has longed to understand
why he looked her in the eye
and left a mystery kept inside
waiting, wishing, hoping
pennies wouldn't do
to sing a song of hope
for life to be with whom
she could not play a note
His hand keeps hers waiting
Here I stand
As all my failures are following
the path I once could
meander so wild and free
hoping maybe he will see me
and we could live free
