Never misjudge a man,
Because it can't be forgiven
Never give up
Because then you'll feel regret 
Never say hello
Because then you have to say goodbye
Never let go
Because you'll never get it back
Never say you're sorry
Because I know you won't mean it
And never say you love me
Because you don't know the first thing
About what that means
To a girl with a shattered heart. 

Today is another day
Get up and face it
Today is the present
So tear off the wrapping
Today is forever
So learn how to deal
Tomorrow is the next Today
So make sure you're ready to face that day too
Because you won't get a second chance
At today.

Never let today go to waste
Or that's all you will be
A waste.
And never says things you don't mean
To a girl with a shattered heart.
Words have power
The power to help.
Or the power to kill 
The spirit
Of the girl with a shattered heart.
