You said you'd die for me
But why am I the one who's dying?
Dying to see you
Feel you close by
Hear your laugh?
Why am I the one who's dying?
Dying when they say those things?
Like you're not truthful
You're going to cheat
You're going to leave.
The words that come out of your mouth don't match theirs
Why am I the one who's crying?
Crying every night
Everyday
But I hide
Behind a facade of jokes and smiles
Hiding the pain
The pain that makes me hurt
Hurt myself.
Keeping it bottled inside
But the pressure builds
Up
Pushing at the seams of me.
I know you've given me no reason to suspect
To hate
To leave
I want to stay
Stay in your arms
Feel your warmth
See your face
Hear your words
But this demon keeps pushing
Knocking
Banging on the doors inside
Yelling
He's not there
There for you
I can't fight back
I can't let go
I can't hold on
Up is down
Left is right
And wrong is my life
I want you to stay
I can't face the dark without you
I'm with you forever
