Imperfect Snowflake

Imperfect Snowflake

A Poem by Hannah Estar
"

A good friend of mine told me that not all snowflakes are beautiful, so I wrote a poem for him :)

"

Its jagged crystals, not quite right,
floating above the frosted world -
asymmetrical shapes of light,
as it danced, spun, twisted and whirled.

It laughed at the irony of its
world of perfect imperfection,
yet still refused to admit
its own imperfect perfection.

Perceived - an eccentric mistake,
yet in this world of falling snow,
you’re the best imperfect snowflake
that I have ever come to know.
