HurricaneA Poem by hannahI’ve said my apologies I don’t know what else you want me to
do I’ve opened up, told you my dark
secrets That you made me do But you just can’t understand, Comprehend things bigger than you I never dreamed that the waves would
come crashing down so hard That they sky would turn gray so
quickly The wind’s
now picking up speed We’re caught up in a hurricane No signs
of it going away anytime soon Now you’re
going around Being plan
old mean to me You said
you were nothing but nice? Please
don’t tell me you’re serious You said I
made your life depressing I never dreamed that the waves would
come crashing down so hard That they sky would turn gray so
quickly The wind’s
now picking up speed We’re caught up in a hurricane No signs
of it going away anytime soon How could
I figure out how I felt? I told you
I needed more time But that’s
one thing you couldn’t give me Yeah so go
throw in the towel I don’t
care anymore I’ve lost
all interest and besides You’re a
loser in a winner’s game anyway I never dreamed that the waves would
come crashing down so hard That they sky would turn gray so
quickly The wind’s
now picking up speed We’re caught up in a hurricane No signs
of it going away anytime soon Looking back I
wouldn’t change anything that I’ve done up
until this point I’ve only been myself And if that’s not
good enough for you Than oh well I’d rather be in
a hurricane Hurricane,
hurricane Oh we’re stuck in
a hurricane It’s never going
to go away © 2013 hannah |
