DeathA Poem by earthtohannahMy black cloak twirling, Like the night sky above the clouds. I whisper softly to the dead, Give them promises of life, That I will never break. My eyes are glowing through the black, That follows me around, And is pulling you softly in. It is the mist of death, The opponent to life. My hands reach out to you, Clutch at the life, That pours out of you. I steal it from you, Surrending you to forever. My name is Death. I am the sister to Life. The evil one, That nobody likes. The one that takes away life, And everything it brings. Yet I am the one who reunites, When you lose your love. I am the one who ends all the pain, And brings you the bliss of not knowing. I am the one who fulfills your dreams, Of a life forever. I am Death, But within me is love, Within me is hope, Within me is peace, And within me is life. © 2012 earthtohannahFeatured Review
