The Hole

The Hole

A Poem by hannah_marsh

The Hole

Letting my mind wonder
Into a unseen spot
Where nothing exists
Not even a heart
Where things meant to be
Like a blanket so warm and full of life
Only a dark hole is left
Where someone ripped it out.

Sitting and thinking
About the way things should be
Brings a tear to my eye
So many harsh memories
The cold lonely nights
The things she said
Rumbles like a speed boat
Throughout my head

Sometimes I wish upon an invisible star
I could go back in time
Change some things
The problems that were mine
But sitting here
In this dungeon feeling place
Nothing I can change
So now there stands
An undiscovered space
