“Happiness”

What is happiness? 

Happiness is the morning sun, throwing rays of light through the window when you wake up,

It’s the first snow, sending its crystal flakes dancing in the air,

It’s the summer rain, it’s droplets falling softly on the warm skin,

It’s the cold breeze of the ocean, calling you inside.

Happiness is listening to your favourite song for the millionth time, 

It's the re-read of your favourite book,

It’s going through the photos that hold important memories,

It’s taking a lone walk, appreciating everything around.

It’s the warm feeling of being proud of yourself.

Happiness is a smile from a stranger on the street,

It’s the late-night conversations with people you adore,

It’s sharing your clothes and makeup with your best friend,

It’s giving a piece of your soul to someone.

Happiness is seeing your parents happy,

It’s old people dancing in the streets as if no one is watching,

It’s smiling at the thought of someone,

It’s all the little things around,

Happiness is the way people love.
