"My sister."

For any of the people that have their sibling as a best friend. Wrote this poem for my little sister who's the best person in the world.

„My sister.”

Ally, companion, instant mood twister,

That’s what she is to me, she is my sister.

Staying up the whole night, laughing out the heart,

Shining with joy, we’re never apart.

Singing, screaming our lungs out,

She’s my closest friend, without a doubt.

There’s nothing as good as spending jointly our time,

Always scheming together, we’re partners in crime.

When looking at her, even though she’s twelve,

Disguised behind her face, I see myself.

I know fully well she’ll always be there,

I couldn’t be more grateful, for that I have her.

Sticking together throughout the whole ride,

Forever bound, side by side.

When thinking about her, her impression kind,

There’s only one sentence that comes to my mind.

“Sisters by chance, saying my voice,

my heart screaming, however, best friends by choice.”

I love your couplets here, celebrating your sister. I have two and they are the greatest gift given by my parents.along with my two brothers. My sisters are my best friends. We have had a lifetime of special togetherness. From childhood into old age. They have enriched my life. Your poem is a reminder to me of how fortunate I am. Thank you Hannah.
