Beauty

Beauty

A Poem by hanna

What is beauty

You may think of looks when you hear beauty, but is that true beauty

Do we know or shall I say do you know what true beauty means

Beauty isn’t about looks

Beauty is what and how you see things through your eyes

Your eyes may  glisten at paintings, images, or landscapes

But is that true beauty, is that what beauty is

Beauty is always about how your see things or what you see

It’s about how you feel, your compassion for it

It's all how you face and see it

It's all deep inside your mind and heart

Beauty doesn’t come from your eyes and mind

It's part of where beauty comes from

Beauty comes from your heart and emotions

It’s a feeling that’s so amazing

You can’t explain or put down in words

Do you know what true beauty is

I truly like this one! A lot of people do not know the true definition of "beauty". Society has its own definition of perfection-awesome complexion, skinny as a twig, every body part pleasing the eye (if not surgery will take care of it), straight teeth, blond hair and blue eyes. If you don't have that going on, you aren't considered beautiful in the eyes of society these days. I totally disagree with the standards of society. All of that, that I just described, isn't the definition of beauty by no means at all. A person that simply can be brought down and be verbally abused of their appearance and still love themselves; that is true beauty. When these people don't change themselves either, that makes me respect them anymore than what I do. The personality is what I look at whenever I get interested in a guy. He can have the most flawless face on this planet but the ugliest personality. Never judge a book by its cover. That can't get anymore true! Beauty honestly is difficult to explain in words but what matters is understanding the true concept of beauty and to stop the people that are judging for the wrong reasons. Well done. Keep shining your positivity and beautiful work. Stay beautiful!

Love this piece. Especially this line" Beauty comes from your heart and emotions". This is probably your least descriptive poems but one of your greatest yet. Keep up the good work.

That was a nice discussion of what true beauty is, and absolutely correct. Very nicely done!

Inspiring, and true. Thoughtful, and asking all the right questions for such a current topic in the world. Well done.
