INK OUT LOUD

INK OUT LOUD

A Poem by hanir

INK OUT LOUD
Trapped emotions.
Suppressed reactions.
Contained in this hollow empty space of incarceration.
It feels like empty.
But paradoxically it's full.
And when you feel it reaches the brim,
you try to pour it out.
Hoping for a miraculous relief.
But still, you bleed.
You see, this is a vicious cycle.
Pain is eternal.
Bleeding is internal.
So pour it out.
Grab a pen,
And bleed on the paper.
Pour it out.
Speak.
Bleed.

There have been thousands of poems written about writing, but this one is stellar & fresh & powerful. I love the title, first off. That's the kind of memorable phrase every writer wishes they could craft. I also love the statement about how it feels empty but it's full. That's a brilliant well-stated observation. It's true that we whiny humans are a constant source of JUNK & writing it is a way to let it go. This is a little bit playful & also deeply honest.

How our blood runs through our pens like an extension of ourselves. A nice write!

Poets need to use the pen and write their emotions to make space for new emotions to come and make them write again. Well done on writing this subject beautifully.

Great piece of writing! "Grab a pen and bleed on the paper" such a strong, meaningful metaphor. I like your easy flow, it is effortless and natural.

Thank you miss katie! 😊
I feel like this is a perfect example of what being a writer feels like. Paper doesn't judge us,words are there to comfort and heal our heavy hearts. This was beautifully written, very cohesive.
