The bestl distancesA Poem by FarooqiThere were days they thought distances
are not proving to be good for them, But the same distances were making
them long for each other more, He was her best friend, there was a
spark. Like the fireflies in the dark, Their relation was flickering but
surviving because of the continuous connection. Only people having complete faith in
each other can survive with that much distances, They were not bound by each other but
still faithful with each other that they themselves do not knew why, both were
free to leave whenever they wanted to, but they just could not, as both loved
each other presence…, loved each other, both of them still need to experience
the pleasure of being together, the joy they never had, but only once they met
last. When they use to call each other, it
never mattered to them to keep talking, for keeping the interest level high, Silence was never boring for them as
they only crave for each other’s presence, that is what only mattered, his
presence… that’s the only thing she demanded, Just like the stars so far away still
gives people peace, his presence was all what she needed. There was more intimacy between them than
those living together, than those who get bore easily of the silences, taught
to them by the distances, the art of being close not physically but
spiritually. He was far but still she always felt a
positive vibe coming from him that rescued her. “What could have happened if they ever
got close” It was just beyond the imagination.
These were the distances that were not very pleasant but still very pleasing at
the same time. As it felt good to him to miss each
other but she complained about the distances, He was like the calm sea, not
complaining about the distances and she was like a tornado silently causing the
tides to rise! The distances were just teaching them
the ways to have more joy when together. These were the best distances.
Although not very pleasant but still very beautiful ❤ © 2018 Farooqi |
