And For A Smile..

And For A Smile..

A Poem by Hamza

Smile ... For the world around needs it, feels it and transpires it to
the next level of life !
I believe, that a smile can change the course of our lives, change the
paths of distress and shift us from the depths of darkness and
solitude to extreme business and union with the world ...

Isn't this what each of us wants ... To be busy and content in our
lives, and bring about life in a more preluding and immaculate manner
...

Yes, but all we require is a shoulder to lean upon when in distress
and a pat on our shoulder when we have accomplished a feat ... Or to
be precise, a smiling face to soothe us in every circumstance ...

Somewhere within me is
A lost smile of mine that's..
Struggling to break open the
Prison of darkness and apathy...

I wait for the salvation that
Would set me free from this..
Unending desire to overcome
My own flaws, my own insecurity...

For a smile that has vanished
I search hither in the deepest caves of..
Solitude and loneliness and
Comfort myself with a hope of it's return...

I love how it kind've starts out as a story and then turns into a more personal poem...combining the best of both worlds...you're a genius :D I like the fourth stanza/verse thingy about the lost smile. AMAZING!!! This is a super wonderful poem and I hope everyone who reads it will start smiling more because smiling makes everyone happier unless they're pessimistic geezers who loathe smiling and want to wipe it off the face of the earth but I don't think anyone's weird enough to be like that.

"I believe that a smile can change the course of our lives..." Amazing line, by the way :D

I believe that as well (: a smile may seem like something very small, but it really is a powerful thing that can make a very big difference. A smile can make everyone around you share your happiness, just like lack of a smile can do the opposite..

This poem is so beautiful and expressive, yet so true. You did an amazing job (:

One of those pieces where you read it and think "Damn, I wish I wrote this." I've found myself in these "caves of solitude and loneliness" you speak of. I think that everyone could relate to this piece, in fact. When it feels like there's no one there and nothing to soothe us we often find ourselves searching for our lost smile within ourselves, sometimes when we don't even know that we're looking for it. An excellent piece, Hamza! Great job!

So true and touching... might sound silly, but so that others would smile, despite all feelings, I would too even if it was a half of one. Then maybe they could cheer up a little... all we ever hope for is to find that light, that sincere smile guiding us on with comfort and a deep set joy. Keep smiling, well penned indeed :)
