Metered taxi: You can find metered taxis Phuket as you go out of Phuket airport terminal. You can contact at their booth to hire them as per your requirement to go to Patong beach. They can be cheaper than airport limousines as they charge as per their meter. You can lower your cost of travelling by arranging some co-travelers with you. But you must have a road map upto your destination with you as otherwise they can go stray to increase your bill. Still they are convenient and a bit cheaper than airport limousine. 

 

Mini-van: You can also find mini vans after getting out of Phuket airport terminal which can take you to Patong beach at about 200 Baht per head but they can cost you higher as they do not drop you directly at your destination. Most of the mini-van drivers visit their company’s office in the way for dual purpose. At first they report to their operator about the trip and on the other the operator tries to sell his tour program to the visitors. Mini-van will drop you in mid way and you will have to hire a tuktuk from there who will cost you another 300-400 Baht. You must have a road map with you to reach your destination without any problem. In this way it will be costly as well as inconvenient means of transportation than others. 

 

Public bus: Though public bus service can also be the cheapest transport from Phuket airport to Patong beach as they charge 120 Baht per person but they also drop you before your destination. From there you will have to hire a tuktuk for about 300-400 Baht to reach Patong beach. While hiring a tuktuk to reach your destined beach you must have a road map with you so that the tuktuk driver can not betray you. 

 

Thus taxi Phuket is the most convenient and the cheapest way to go from Phuket airport to Patong beach as they will pick you up at your scheduled time from the airport to take you directly to your destination without any delay.
