In reali-ty, there is a whole lot more depth to yoga than laying on a mat and/or moving into different po-sitions. It definitely is a portion of yoga but yoga touches more than what the body does on a mat. Nevertheless, many people find true equilibrium, and health rewards, through the assorted types of poses highlighted in yoga classes. Remember that no yoga class is identical. It's im-portant to tailor a class option according to your personal ability, needs, and goals. Check out these three types of yoga options to see if one fits best. 1. Hot Yoga - Hot yoga has truly gained a large fan base over the last few years. When dealing with hot yoga, prepare the mind for a workout that involved lots of sweating (which is great for detoxification) and heat. Increasing strength, stamina and flexibility are the main goals for using the heat and this form is practiced by people no matter where their skill level might be. 2. Hatha - Striking a yoga pose in this form is called a traditional asana. Hatha classes combine the asanas and the breath in order to work together. If you are a beginner at yoga, don't shy away because there are a ton of different modifications no matter the level. While holding the poses longer is required for hatha yoga, this form is not practiced in heat. 3. Yin Yoga - Restoring the body is the ultimate goal in yin yoga. Poses are held for more than 30 seconds. As a matter of fact, poses are held for minutes at a time. This form is not so much about creating an uncomfortable environment for the body. It's about pushing the body to full restoration. The beautiful component about yoga is that it's always developing and progressing. People of all ages, physical abilities and backgrounds love yoga and what it can do for their bodies.
