WaspA Story by James HallA wasp came into my office today, and I was the only person who noticed it. I watched it for a while.
I slowly explore the edges of my prison patiently searching for a way out. Occasionally bumping into the walls, changing direction, and trying a different route. I don't know how I got in here, trapped by some invisible force, but I just can't seem to find a way out. What seems like hours have passed, to no avail. There is occasional movement in my cell, I can sense a presence, but I don't know what it is. Again, I bump, again, I am trapped. My feelings of anguish seem to be turning into frustration, and anger. Its welling up inside me like a vicious creature about to snap. Minutes later, the anger is building, and can sense that my movements are becoming quicker and more erratic. Yes, I am definitely moving quicker now, angry sensations dictating my path. I can sense movement, so I quickly move to where its coming from. As I get closer, the presence seems to move erratically, although I still am unable to determine what it is. I resume my searching, angrily, and more quickly. I am starting to feel tired now, so I rest, I find an area that seems comfortable and I stop. From my position, I survey the surroundings, trying to make out where I am. It certainly seems a million miles away from what I am used. I sense a movement close by, and all of a sudden, a pain........
