Love Letters In the Fireplace

Love Letters In the Fireplace

A Poem by Nessa
"

Letting go can took alI I had in me. Now I'm left with nothing.

"

The clock's counting backwards

What is the past heading towards?

An empty pallete, a blank canvas

Brings me to the life I truly miss.

Autumn's gone with the blast of foliage

You've thrown it away, just to be on that edge.

Winter's here with that cold set heart

I gave you my innocence, I did my part.

Go down to the riverbed

"My new best friend!" you once said.

How can I lose you when you're right here?

The answer is the smoke and the tears.

What you think is love is lust.

What you don't want to do, you must.

My grip's too tight, building up sweat

I want to let go, but I don't want you to fall just yet.

You said it all

I took that fall.

The fire that was here smoldered to ashes

Watch as the white and black clashes.

Took all I had to let go, took all I had to write this. It was tough, but I had to do it.

You're genious, as always... we make each other cry. It's kinda cute. :3 The more I reread this poem, the more I think about. Everything can be taken in so many ways.. I wish I knew what exactly you were thinking about while writing this.
