Pieces of my heart

Pieces of my heart

A Poem by Erik Hirsch
"

A storm was brewing and I was shivering.

"

The pieces of my heart are like a puzzle that only you can solve.

Unlike the others before you I was never this inspired to be around and to do any learning but I still feel sad because of the heavy weight on your lovely shoulders, that is the main reason I'm so sad, it's not all about that though.

My dream is to hold you close yet my depression is always telling me that I'll never see you or hold you and that the only reason you love me is out of pity, I know this to not be true do not worry my dear. I know you'd tell me if that was the case.

I'm with you because I want to be and to help lift the weight from your shoulders and throw it away. As I write this, I am quaking with chills and I am feeling colder yet I can remain warm because I'm thinking of you and yet my soul is insisting I finish filling this page.If we were closer I'd show you love that you deserve, show you the meaning of beauty in the shadows. You hold my life in your hands, nothing I do or anyone else can do to change my feelings for you, I begin to awaken and demand an audience with my inspiration.
