The Goddess In The Moon

The Goddess In The Moon

A Poem by Erik Hirsch
"

What do you see when you look at the stars? I see my girlfriend's face because she is the goddess in the moon.

"

The time when I am alone and reflective I am constantly thinking of all the amazing things in my life and I'm often fixtated on the subject of beauty, not just you my dear, but nature like water from a river gliding over rocks with moss floating by, birds are flying to their unique destinations and I'm in awe because when the sun is just right the sky suddenly brightens the corner of the world I'm in just like you!

The place where I am in with the sunlight touching me reminds me of the warmth and love you provide me just like an angel,

showing me the way to your heart.

At night I'm counting and naming stars after people who inspire me not only because I love them but because they are the guardians of my soul, I forever save the moon for last because I name it after you. It is the most beautiful thing in my world and I know it to be true like you.

I admire the alone time I spend because it enables me to think and remember the goodness in my life.

You don't have to make things easier for me because they already are when I am with you, a minute here a minute there any time with you is to me the best. I love you because you are the goddess in the moon.
