Sidelines

Sidelines

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

A more uplifting poem

"

I've spent my life on the sidelines

Waiting for my chance to shine

I know they'd be impressed

If they see what I can do

Yes, I'm small

But size doesn't matter

It's all about the attitude

You're a winner if you believe you are

Don't spend your life on the sidelines

Waiting for your turn to shine

Stand and say “Hey, look at me,

I'm a winner, I know it's true”

I'm no longer waiting

I've reached my full potential

Like a flower in bloom

This is my time to shine
