Changing Mind

Changing Mind

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas

I'm tired of your changing mind

Of meaning everything to you one day

And nothing to you the next

I'm exhausted from believing in you

From listening to the words I know aren't true

I just can't do it anymore

My forgiveness has its limitations

My faith has been stretched far too thin

You destroyed my fragile, naive heart

I deserve better than this

If they're all you need, why am I still here?

If they're all you want, why do I still care?

I'm tired of your changing mind

So you'll mean nothing to me today

And even less to me the next
