Stone Castles.

Stone Castles.

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas
"

A slightly more uplifting sequel to Castles Built of Sand. Dedicated to my best friend, who is my stone castle (the person who I know I can rely on).

"

If a fairy's dust

What hold's together it's tale?

If a slipper's glass

How does it not shatter?

If a castle's sand

Do the waves not wash it away?

If the prince is a frog

Is the ball not really a bog?

Life isn't a little girl's dream

But it isn't so bleak

As I once believed it to be

Now that I can see

Beyond the horizon

Through the thorns I must cut through

There's still something to fight for

And someone to hope for

Because fairies may be dust

But hearts don't have to rust

Because for every castle built of sand

There is one constructed of stone

I liked the over-all completion of this work...the word choices and the easy flow for the reader and the meaning is visible and down right sincere in the lines...and made for delightful read...being this is a dedication...an added plus for merit...
