Dead End

Dead End

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas

You say where do we go from here

I reply there's nowhere

We're reached a dead end

There are no more forks in this road

You can't rectify this

Not even with a kiss

And no matter how much we wish

We can't turn back the clock

I wanted you to be the one

To teach me how to trust

And restore my faith

But instead we pushed each other away

No one's ever fought so hard

Just to be by my side

And nothing's ever been as difficult

As asking you to go

Because you were the one

Who convinced me to try

But these sins we can't rectify

And we've reached a dead end

I really enjoyed your poem! It's really something that people can take to heart since a lot of people have been to that "dead end" before. Great job! Keep inspiring :)

It's never easy when you get to a dead end of a relationship and have to end things. Nice piece hun.
