Gray

Gray

A Poem by Haley Lynn Thomas

I'm so sick of black and white

Of light and dark

I'm tired of the stereotypes

That seperate you and I

Why do we allow color to define us?

Is one really better than the other?

Have we forgotten that we're all brothers?

We're all made from the same Earth

This isn't what God intended

And it's not how we started

We weren't supposed to live divided

So let's break down this wall between us

I have this crazy dream

That someday things will be diffrent

There will be no more black and white

But instead we'll all be gray
