In vain, premonitionA Poem by nikolaiaThis is the first poem I wrote in this style, that I later developed and use most often, and in fact in all the posted poems. I will post this unedited and exactly as it was when I wrote it a year agoI often think of that day. It hasn't happened yet, but it will. A long train of thought in a moment, lacking the logic of decision, the clarity of foresight, and ending in anger.
I see clearly the grey cloud of smoke with its firm grip upon us, pulling you away by the hair, and rendering me motionless until brereavements end. "This is not what I want!" Screamed my innermost thoughts. But they couldn't free themselves, and I won't need them again.
This day hasn't passed, and I won't let it, Even if it means saying goodbye. I promise I won't leave you, goodbye. © 2010 nikolaiaAuthor's Note
