my mother

celebration of my mother

                   My mother

Oh God of creation for 15 years I have lived

For 15 years I have wondered

For 15 years I have asked but no one gave me answers not even the search engines

Oh lord what were you thoughts when you gathered the clay used in her creation?

Oh lord what were your thoughts when you made me in her comfortable womb?

Oh lord what were your thoughts when you made her weep when I was ill?

Oh lord what were your thoughts when you gave her those eyes that were used to look over me?

Oh lord what were your thoughts when you gave her those lips that gave me my first kiss?

Oh lord what were your thoughts when you gave her those hands that were used to nurture me?

Oh lord what were your thoughts when you gave her that back I rested on?

Oh lord what were your thoughts when you made her my first podiatrist?

Oh lord what were your thoughts when you gave her that smile that always melt a heart of stone?

Oh lord what were your thoughts when you made her as peaceful as a dove?

Oh lord what were your thoughts when you made her my mother amongst millions?

Oh lord is giving her to me part of the blessings you promised my fore fathers?
