Love always finds a way

At 16, I met a boy.

It was the beginning of February 2013,

He was 15.

We clicked instantly.

I had never met anyone like him before.

He was dating some girl,

As was I some guy.

We knew in our hearts that we were supposed to be together,

But neither of us would admit it.

My relationship had ended by May,

While his still remained.

We had known one another so well by this time,

It was hard to believe we were ever strangers.

The more time that had passed,

The more that I knew I belonged with him.

Time passed, we flirted;

Late night phone calls, early morning texts.

I fell harder and harder for this kid with each day that passed.

His girlfriend wasn't very fond of me.

She made him stop associating with me.

After a few months,

He had enough.

He broke things off with her,

And we instantly reconnected.

He waited about a month,

February 18, 2014 to be exact,

Before asking me to be his.

Now we're here,

Two years and 4 months into our relationship.

At 16, I met a boy.
