Chapter 9 or so

"

Sorry for all the small bites nut that's just how I write

"

It never lasts long, the happiness, the primal grin that comes only from sex, me and her in an airplane bathroom, struggling for a place to sit and finally just standing for the act. Her hands roaming over me and my mouth exploring hers, it was literally electric, sparks of blue and white jumping from my eyes into hers, gasps and moans as we both shook from the energy that was flowing through the both of us. It was over far too quickly for both of our likings but when you're in a covert area you must make the time go by a little faster than normal.

I helped her straighten her shirt and with one last kiss I opened the door and smiled at all the people that stared at us in embaressment and envy. She held my hand as I walked back to my seat, my skin still flushed and the sweat only now drying on my brow. Sitting in my tall first class recliner I waved a girl over and asked for a glass of jack and coke, no ice, while she searched in her little rolling bar for a coke I looked over at Charles and noticed he was reading my book,

"How's it going?"

He ignored me and kept flipping through the pages until he came upon a page that was covered in frantic lines and half decipherable scribbles, I tried to explain that I was on uppers when I wrote the mess and had no idea what it meant.

The girl passed the small glass to me and I thanked her before taking a sip of the amber liquid. Karrey reached over and squeezed my hand, I looked at her and was about to say something when I suddenly looked through her bright eyes and saw that she was in love with me.

S**t.

This was bad, I felt myself stiffen in panic, a woman who thinks she's in love is one of the most dangerous things in the world. For a moment I contemplated just wiping her mind and making her forget all this, but the thought of her becoming a drooling vegetable made me reconsider.

"Hey, Karrey."

My voice was stiff and the confusion was obvious in her face, I had to backtrack but I couldn't figure out how.

Charles saved me by tapping me on the arm and showing me a passage from the thick leather bound book,

It isn't when that should frighten you child.

It isn't how that should frighten you little child.

The light will fade and the moon will fall in it's own good time.

Make peace now and never forget that you are more than what you think.

The author and the character are never too far apart, a mirror facing a mirror.

It was a while ago that I wrote that, and if you asked me why I couldn't give you a straight answer. Charles seemed interested in it for some reason so I just shurgged and went back to my drink, doing my best to ignore Karrey as she looked at me with puppy dog eyes.

Only ten hours to go, the whiskey burned my throat and I coughed a little, no problem at all.

I closed my eyes and practiced my breathing techniques, long deep breaths, filling my lungs to near bursting. My blood coursing through my veins like the mightiest rapid, the power that allowed me to bend and warp the fabric felt like a living thing through my heart and into my brain. Deep into the blood and into the shining coils of DNA, all the knowledge of the human race stored inside of us all. The information scrambled and broken down so much we can only hope for glimpses at a time.

Two snakes intwined in a river, mating and feeding, turning the water to foam with their desperate, erotic movements. They drink of the river and eat the passing fish, growing in size and color but always staying together. The foam rises and falls, rises and falls.
