We Celebrate 11-28-2014

A Poem by Dennis White
"

2nd Anniversary poem for World Poetry Open Mic radio show

"
On this Black Friday we celebrate
Next evolution of poetry, and it is Great
We lay down tracks with a golden spike
For the party at World Poetry Open Mic

For two years it's on every Friday Night
Poets around the world come and unite
They know a good thing, want to take part
Sharing their poetry and Spoken Word Art

J Todd and Micheal  setting up the stage
Hosting the show that's become The rage
Genius JT, orchestrating the Sound
So poets can be heard the world round

Come one, come all, let your voices be heard
And share your poetry as Spoken Word
Turns out we all have something worthy to say
Speak up, speak out and share it today

We give our thanks to the show's great hosts
We raise our glasses, it's them we toast
For with their foresight and dedication too
Friday's the Best night poets ever knew

On this Black Friday we celebrate
Next evolution of poetry, and it is Great
We lay down tracks with a golden spike
For the party at World Poetry Open Mic

Happy Anniversary WORLD POETRY OPEN MIC
May this just be the beginning of a plan gone right!

The term Golden spike refers to the last spike laid at the end destination of the track. I used it first, because it rhymed and secondly because it is the desired end destination for poets seeking to share their poetry and Spoken Word Art at WPOM radio show.

How interesting. .... WORLD POETRY OPEN MIC. Where are you from, Dennis? I wish to know more. Love your rhymes too, especially the near ones.
