Symbiotic

A Poem by Dennis White
"

A poem about a relationship

"

Two,

by common bond of hunger,

meet by the water's edge,

angler and his prey.

Sums up some personal relationships pretty well. I say 'personal relationships' because all the rest are, without question, inherently cooperative and co-dependant. But then, as your poem might suggest, there are also some people who like to feed off of others, and those who like to be the food. Vampiristic, even. And then there are those who are quite simply duped by the lure, too.

Yeah: clever is this brevity of yours. Thanks for sharing, Dennis.

This is good, but shouldn't the firt line have just 5 syllables in it? Or are you writing in a form I don't know about?

Thank you for your kind review, this poem is not in a form but rather a free verse brevity poem.
