Facade

Facade

A Poem by Frances Smart
"

This is about a guy I thought I knew, and how nothing is ever what it seems...

"

Everything about you is false

The words from your mouth

The things you profess to feel

The way you represent yourself to your friends

Your name

Your picture

There is nothing in you that is genuine and true

How does it feel to be a hollow man

Loving no one, not even yourself?

How does it feel to know that

You hold people's hearts in your hands?

It must be empowering for you

On some level

Way down deep inside

To know that you are such a good

LIAR.
