Justified Love

Justified Love

A Poem by I Cast a Shadow
"

This is the first poem that I wrote for my lover when love was more forbidden.

"

And there it was

We met again

That strange and twisted sort of friend.

I found myself

And turned around

I picked myself up off the ground.

Gray flame burned dim

Like top I span

No real color in barren land.

‘Til that one day

I found a friend

There was another soul in mend.

‘Twent fast and sweet

Yet Black and rot

These souls wove in not loose but taut.

Love and Evil

Darkness and Light

Oh! An ever perplexing plight.

Will it never?

Sin ‘n Purity?

Is this doomed by obscurity?

My flame burns hard

Its spectrum full

To back out now would leave me null.

Fighting the norm

Gun down repeat

Kill the gods and prove defeat.

With our two souls

They long for One

East rips West; let duality be undone.
