We Are Golden

We Are Golden

A Poem by I Cast a Shadow

Golden fields of golden flowers

Our time together is golden hours

Your hair, my hands, our lips, they meet

‘Neath golden moons and suns, so sweet

The golden honey of life we share

Our selfish life doth has a spare

So shines the lives of those who love

So fleeting the wings of a golden dove

A excellent description of love. Finely phrased and with the added bonus of rhyme and meter. I search for rhymed, metered poems as that is the only kind I write. Well done.
