A Man of Few Words (DraftI)

A Man of Few Words (DraftI)

A Poem by I Cast a Shadow

I saw you standin' there, toes in the sand.
What a woman.
I got my hands in my pockets
And only one thing on my mind.
What a woman
"You're not like the rest", I thought,
Couldn't think a bad thing about you.
What a woman.
I cast my glances.
Your eyes sparkle in the sun
In the moonlight -- what a woman.
I give you my heart forever.
I give you my word forever.
Siren in the sand.
Perfect body with a siren's song.
Mermaid stare; no right or wrong.
You'll be my chance to risk.
Worth it all on the line.
I'll swim through the sinking ships.
For your sea breeze breath and lips I long to kiss.
You'll be my woman.
What a woman.
I wander dizzy and staggered
But staggered and strong as the sea.
Your glow blows me away
And the only words that I'll ever mean to say are:
"I love you."
"I love you."
"I love you."
