It's who I am; not I have become I was this way since I saw the day I see the world all in forever deep prints It moves around me with colors and textures
They're noted as symbols all in my brain I assign to them emotions and draw from the pain The pain of toil in a weary world. Flora and fauna, passion, and a woman. Experience focused and poorly imitated with words Of colors and textures making moving pictures in mind The world comes from me; I create it, you see Everything that is and all that will be Until I am nothing but unconscious inanimance All dead and not on this plane anymore Perhaps not anywhere. But my words will live on as my only testament What it was to be me if only for an instant To see the world from these eyes and know me from inside; But you can't. You'll interpret it and make it your vision; not mine My visions are mine and my thoughts are mine too I find it lonely here, sometimes. . . Sometimes. I'll try to share my feelings with you if I can If you'll permit and accept from my hand. Some come with laughter and some come with sadness Others are ponders that in short lead to gladness. My words are my brains, blood, and tears spilt out. The only thing I have that I have little doubt. I am a rose; A fountain; A man. And I am a poet if you understand.
This was so intriguing. I never lost my imagery while reading this piece. You had me at the first two lines but really caught me at the very last line. It was like I was rereading it all over again! Props!

1. written in 10 minutes
2. written in a couple hours
3. written in a long time pushing days, weeks, or years.
This took me around 15 minutes lol. A lot of times those are the ones that come out the best for some reason. Must be the spur of emotion.

I think the sporadically written pieces tend to be better because they come straight from the heart/brain whereas the writes that you sit there and think about (trying to perfect every single detail) end up going to ruins due to over-thinking. I just wrote a piece today and I genuinely think it is one of my better writings because it came to me as I was driving and being inspired. I even made my dad write down the words that were coming to me as we were driving.
Keep up with your 15 minute writings!

I posted some works of mine that I wrote at an extremely young age and considered retouching them but I was too hurried so I just posted them raw and original. I should consider posting more of my early pieces. It would be interesting to revisit the past and compare my skills from then to now. Also to learn how much knowledge I have achieved in my four year English degree1

Other pieces are garbage. The sonnet is the only one I ever wrote called, "Brittany's Sonnet #1". I plan on writing more.
I read classics, science fiction, philosophy, and very little fantasy.
I am inspired by Taoism and other Eastern philosophy, anarchy, new concepts, my ancestry, my muse, her family, my own family, .. more..
