Water

Water

A Poem by I Cast a Shadow
"

Written in a bathtub

"

Fully immersed in liquid silence

I find my solace at long last

Beneath the tide

Beneath the water

I will stay under --

My will!

I must!

Be calm, my spirit

Be calm, my body

I feel the gent’list surrounding embrace

Fills me with freedom

Frees me from lies

No more sorrow

Upon my last goodbyes

I won’t be mocked by rain tomorrow

Fading flickers the ambient light

As I drift quietly away tonight.
