Veridis Quo

Veridis Quo

A Poem by Nicholas

You fit the description
Lover of friction
Frightened of tradition

Inspired by creation
What the closest you ever been to a train
Just to feel the vibration?

I can feel it now
The depth
The emotion
Sitting on these rocks as
Anxiety drains into the deepest ocean

weary eyes can't say goodbye,
you filled me up where i was empty
do i still fit the description?

i remember sitting on those rocks,
tears falling down my cheeks.
with the tide looming closer
and desire written in the night sky
i saw all that you were

wishing on a shooting star
its all ive got left

i needed you then,
just as i need you now

i got closer to the train each time we said goodbye,
but the vibrations never made me feel the way your hands do

sitting in your little red car,
do you still think of me besides you?

cause you still fit my description,
lover of friction,
frightened by tradition

so far away now,
but glorious

i love you nick,
i'll always love you
