First Impression

First Impression

A Poem by Habibah

First impression lasts

As you appear

Upon dreams and fables

Of knights and princes

In a tale told countless

Since I was three...

Then you truly appear

On that special day

Just like a dream

And my heart went fluttering

As you came to me...

And ever since then

You took my heart

And you kept me awaiting

For your presence...

Sunshine and rainbows

When you appear

Storms and darkness

As you left

Oh! Such fate

Such torturous discourse

Of pain and joy

Mixed melancholy and soliloquy

As I hold my candle in the darkness

Hope and prayers I hold on to

For you to come for me

But the light is fading slowly

As the room grows dimmer

As all too soon

Darkness befalls again...

An Emotional Wow!
The pictures that you have painted with your words are so vivid and strong.
I can't help but be pulled into the mind of she who sat alone in the room that slowly grows dim.
I can relate to the feelings in this very deeply.
I can not find a fault in your form or usage of words. It was perfect in my opinion.

Wonderous Creation.
