One Final Goodbye

A poem about friendship. The second poem I have written. I put all my feelings into this poem and tried my best to make it special, I hope you like it.

One Final Goodbye

Every ending is the start of a new beginning 

Making memories leaves me grinning 

Strangers meet and become friends wishing for their friendship to never end

Little did they know that all friendships always tend to descend 

My brain can't comprehend how these memories we had shared are coming to an end

One day these memories will be forgotten 

But the impact they made will leave my heart soft like cotton 

A friend is a type of person who welcomes you with a warm heart 

True friendship will never fall apart

Friends. Friends are there for you, you grow up together, you care for each-other, and you want what's best for the other. Many of us don't realize how important friends are. You really start to appreciate your friend more and realize how important they were to you once you loose them. So don't take your friends for granted and cherish every moment you spend with them. - H4zem

A very apt tribute to friendship and so well written. Friendships do have a life cycle as you have stated here, with the initial thrill and later the diminishing and moving away. True friendships can last a life time. I still have friends from school years and my early twenties. Others have come and gone. All of them have left me with memories. Your poem is a nice tribute to friendship and many of your readers will relate. Yes, friendships can be like soft cotton round the heart. Warming, I like that. Great poem kiddo!... This is well written and I can see the progress you've made so far. Friends do come and go eventually :( I lost my fiance 2 years ago and he was my best friend so this poem really felt like home. The last line really emphasized and was a great end to the poem. The author's note is also very well written. I would love to know what inspired you to make this 😢 Keep up the good work buddy!
