A Poem by Shalini R

If you were music

I’d twist and turn you

Till you scratched like a record, poor cicatrix on vinyl.

Just keep repeating what you last said what you last said to me

Can you recall that far stretch back in memory?

“Don’t go” from me

“Love you” from you.

Then the drunken lullaby awoke from her dream.

Now you’re a thousand a thousand miles away.

Wow, I really like this. Good call on the repitition. Two qualms, what do you mean by "the drunken lullaby", are you trying to personify it? And another thing... you like "cicatrix" don't you? It isn't a bad thing, but i just noticed it. Anyways, awesome poem.
