CHAPTER FOUR

The next night the two girls headed over to the house, the address Matt had given to them clutched tightly in Kayla’s hand. They walked down the street. The house was only a few blocks down, it seemed. The girls looked for the house for about fifteen minutes, but all they could find was an empty lot where the house should have been. A loud meow caused the girls to jump and turn around. Behind them was a small black cat, staring at them with its yellow eyes. The girls followed it with their eyes as it headed towards the empty lot, but when the girls turned back around, it was no longer an empty lot. The lot was filled with an old style Victorian house, and a welcoming sidewalk. The black cat scampered around the yard a bit, and rolled in the damp grass. It then ran back to them, and to the house. It repeated that process over and over again, as if it wanted the two girls to follow it into the appearing house.

“We must be seeing things.” Abby said nervously

“Should we go in?” Kayla asked, biting her lip.

Without a word, the two girls followed the black cat into the house, not knowing what they were in for.

Author's Note

I apologize for the shortness! This is really more like a prologue to chapter five, but I thought it was still worth posting! Chapter five is being written and will be posted soon!

EDIT: Well, it's not much longer, but now it's at least two hundred words. I'll see if I can add some more length to it tomorrow, I'm trying to focuse more on chapter six right now.

I know, that was one of my common stupid errors. It's more just like an introduction. But I just finished the fifth chapter, and it'll be up in seconds. I hope you like it, you're my only reviewer on this story, and I really appreciate you reading it.

Eh, I think u should finish it, there's no prologues in the middle of the book, buty only the beginning. it does intrigue me though.
