ChillA Story by guvjust something i knocked up in 20 mins, wondering what you ll think... im thinking about continuing it.Seth woke up from his long sleep, he finds himself in a hospital ward. Despite having a fear of hospitals and not remembering a thing about his past, he remained calm, the only thing he can remember is that nothing has ever sent him a chill down his pine. Seth was tall and was so slim that his ribs were on show, he had slim black hair, despite all this, he remained looking healthy. He looks under the sheet covering him and discovers that he is only wearing a robe, he saw the nurse looking through the window, she moved towards the door. How did he end up here? Seths’ mind was alive with a thousand thoughts, he didn’t know how long he had been asleep, but he was definitely awake now. The nurse walked through the door with a smile gleaming on her face. “Mr Jones? You’ve been asleep for two days, how are you feeling?” Seth was still trying to get a grasp of his surroundings when her question took him by surprise. “Ah, yes I’m sorry, I feel fine, thank you.” The nurse reached round into her back pocket and conjured an envelope. “A man left you this, he said he was a friend but didn’t leave a name, it was the same man who paid for your private ward, but he paid in cash and didn’t leave a name. I’ll be right back with some equipment just to run a few tests, and we might be able to get you on your way.” The nurse handed Seth the brown envelope and scurried away. Seth eagerly opened the brown A4 envelope, perhaps this could reveal something about his past, a letter from a relative? Something about what happened? A date that he’ll be picked up? His heart and mind were racing. He looked at what was inside, and froze. His heart beat faster and faster but his mind stopped, ‘what the f**k is this, this looks like me, but it can’t be, I couldn’t have done THIS.’ At least his mind has started again, but his face was pale, his eyes screaming. The nurse came back in and could smile no longer. “Mr Jones, what’s wrong?” Seth had to get a hold of himself. “Sorry nurse, I’m fine, really. May I have my clothes please? I would like to leave.” The nurse brightened up once again. “Of course, your wallet was the only thing you came in with, it was strange, you weren’t even wearing clothes. But your wallet had a wad of cash and a note telling us to buy you a suit, I hope you like it, it’s underneath your bed.” “Thank you nurse, the letter was from a friend, I’ll be fine.” The nurse began to leave. “OK, I’ll leave you to get dressed then, please come to the front desk when you’re ready.” Seth closed the curtains, got dressed and took one last look at the envelope; it was a bird’s eye view of Seth covered in blood, standing above a corpse, with an address written in biro at the bottom. As he left the hospital, he walked down the concrete steps and took a moment to gather his thoughts. I don’t get it, am I capable of, that. Seth didn’t understand how he could murder somebody, he didn’t remember anything about his past. But he finally felt something he never had before... it had just cut through him... that chill down his spine. © 2010 guvAuthor's Note
