A whales perspective perhaps, on deeds done of man, and the sadness that they invoke.

Whale Cry

Whales cry too

But these tears, we cry for you
The hunter of this prey

We both are mammals, by the way
My baby drinks her mama’s milk
As you stalk us, with brethren ilk

My blood inside beats as warm as thee
Our home, the beautiful and gracious Sea
You live on land, but invade my home
Cold ships of steel, man heart of stone

Whales Cry Too

Great weapons of pain, no place to hide
Explosives burst from deep inside
If the first Harpoon wont do
I hear you yell, Load number two

And now you will have done your do

Whales Cry Too

There are men and women, sworn to defend
Our very existance, to the bitter end
Can they scare the whales to run
Before the man can fire one

With lights, they blind the killers eye’s
But he fires first, and one more dies

Whales Cry Too

Position ships to block his way
But the killer, always gets his prey
My one last thought, I have this day

I wonder what your God will say
When comes your time, for judgement day

Whales Cry Too

I agree with the poem. Whales are powerful and beautiful animals. I was station At Monterey, Ca. You could go to the cliffs of Pacific Grove and watch the whales travel to their destination of season. In the end what will man leave in peace? A powerful poem. Thank you.
