Fickleness

Fickleness

A Poem by the_stoic
"

the two faces of life and the way we react to both ..

"

sweet pleasure or bitter pain
both leave behind an indelible stain
for the first we vehemently praise His name
whilst the other initiates the blame game ..

either extreme sets us out of balance...the righteous become condeming judges or blissfully ignoring the pain of this world while the angry are acting out in violence and adding to the pain....so true....we can't keep our fingers pointed or our arms folded...or reaching up praising and believing if we pray hard enough something will fall from the sky - no one is looking each other in the eye...

Easy to blame someone else. Hard to accept blame. The poem was short. But you made your point. Thank you for a excellent poem.

This should be a famous quote... it is SO true and yet such a shame that it is. I love the pic of the 2 office workers. That is just like it is at my job.
This was clever, concise and creative. Well done!

beautiful you captured how all the faithful feel when their wishes are not granted by God. They blame him for his lack of action calling him an absentee land lord or the like yet when their wishes are granted they joyously praise him and thank him with bended knees and tearful eyes. :D nice work
