What is it ?
A Poem by
the_stoic
sometimes i just ask myself ..
What is it that you couldn't stay
in my heart ?
Now that you are
leaving , I just want to tear it apart .
What is it that you
bring to the fore ?
I am restless ,
shaken right up to the core .
What is it that your memories conjure ?
They won't let me sleep , making me an
insomniac for sure .
What is it that will bring you back to me ?
Even if it's my demise then grant it,
that's my plea ...

Very well written.
I can see this either as a write of desperation, or a write of longing.
It is as if you are asking yourself, "was she worth it?" . And it also feels like you are asking her "Why are you leaving me?"
The last couplet tilts the balance more in favor of the latter view though.
Very well written. I liked reading it!

It reads like an addictive habit.. constantly going, you think you're out of it, you regret it, yet you want it, and finally you allow it back into your life... Those are just my thoughts..
I loved how this seemed to be written so ponderously, like a problem your mind is working through. Beautiful and sobering..

If it is your demise you will never have her back, but I guess you wont have to live with the pain of it. Memories do have a way of keeping us up at night thinking or redreaming of what was or could be. This is a good write :)

This is a really great poem with so much enough in so few words. It could be seen in almost anything in my mind You could be talking about an addition, which is what I gotten from the pic you put by it, or a person or anything someone can get attached too.
